Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. So I received a email June 14 saying I would be receiving the shipping refund and it could take up to 10 Days. The money was in my account June 17.
I was told everything was good - $2100 down, $290 shipping. However, they didn't finish verifying my information and the order timed out. They asked me to redo the order and of course, the interest rate changed. I said no because we had a deal.
I wasn't going to pay more than what I agreed. They still took the money out of my account and cancelled the order on their end. Now it's the 13th of June. I received an email where they kept the shipping fee even though they cancelled the order in under 24 hours and I still haven't received my money back.
Now, imagine how many people they have done this to.
I'm glad it wasn't more than the $290. Read the chat with the rep.
- Ease of purchase
- Will take your money and not return it

Verified ReviewerBUYER BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE!!!
That big car tower you see off the 405 is actually a giant lemon tree! Carvana's crooked business model is selling broken cars to people and hope they can't figure it out before the 7 day return period.
Fortunately for us, the problems with our car were immediately apparent.
Driving it off the lot to home we realized the AC didn't work. When we got it home we called Carvana to tell them, and the representative was very friendly and apologized and let us know we could take it to an authorized auto shop to have it inspected and repaired. So now we have to go driving around getting their car fixed for them, but hey, my wife Loves the car, and we figure if we get the AC fixed it's good to go. No biggie.
Unfortunately this was not the case as further obvious problems with the car began to show up.
It's worth noting that the friendly representative lied to us on the phone, assuring us that Carvana does a full 200 point inspection on all their cars before selling them. A child could tell the AC wasn't working sitting in it for 1 minute, and the other problems were also obvious to anyone with no mechanical background. No inspection was ever done, and I highly doubt anyone even sat in the car once before selling it to us.
The other, and far more crucial problem was that the battery for this EV only held about 45 miles range on a full charge. Again, if anyone had sat in the car even once this would have been obvious by just glancing at the dashboard.
When we called about this they told us to take it back to the mechanic. So more time, money and stress wasted trying to fix their mistake with no accountability for the hassle they caused on their end.
After taking it to the mechanic he said we had to contact BMW and take it to a dealership to get tested. The dealership said they would charge us $550 for the inspection of the battery and would only replace it if they decided it was bad enough. Of course, we all know they will say it's not bad enough, and we will be stuck losing $550 and more time and stress trying to fix Carvana's mistake.
Still, we tried to play nice and asked for another extension for our 7 day return period because we were trying to fix their negligence and hadn't gotten a chance to try out the car at all.
They told us no, as if the extensions they had given us were a favor to us and they were not going to do it again. The audacity of these companies! Zero accountability.
After this we threw in the towel and will be returning the car. We wasted so much time and went through so much stress for nothing.
This car was a gift for my wife, and she was so excited and now is so disappointed. Carvana could not care less and will likely just sell the car off to the next poor buyer.
That's why I'm writing this review: so no one else has to go through all this.
DO NOT BUY FROM CARVANA!
THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD WITH ANY COMPANY EVER!

Verified Reviewer | Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaMessed up car
Good evening. I am writing about the car that I recently purchased from you all.
I took it over to Pep Boys because I knew something was wrong, and they gave me a list of really bad things that are wrong with the car. I think it's really hurtful that you all would give me a car that has so many problems with it. Then, customer service was texting me saying I could do an exchange, but through a trade-in.
A trade-in is less than what I paid for, and that's not cool. Also, why am I going to pay more to get another car?
Preferred solution: I new and UNDAMAGED car

Verified Reviewer | Tempe, ArizonaOrder canceled
Someone from my social media wanted to help me purchase a car and told me to create a Carvana account, select a vehicle, and then provide my account email and password so they could provide the payment info. For safety reasons, as a woman who lives alone, I put the social media name they know me by as my name on Carvana and a landmark address.
He provided the full payment of the car, and the order went through; all I needed to do was change my Carvana account name to match my actual driver's license so that I could receive the car upon delivery and called customer care to do so. I spoke with Representative 'Denise' who assured me this was okay and that she would call me back to confirm the account has processed my name request and would allow me to move forward with receiving my already fully paid for car.
However, she clearly was purposely lying to get me off the phone because minutes later I received an email that my order was cancelled. I would like someone to call me and tell me directly why this happened despite me being assured that my request was okay.
- Will cancel your order faster than they try to help you
Preferred solution: the car that was oaid for would be nice
User's recommendation: dont take the rep's word because they will tell you anything to get you off the phone, instead if actually helping you solve your issue.

Verified ReviewerI purchased a $36000 truck with 4 shot tires.
This was my third purchase from carvana and was planning on getting wife another Audi from them again this summer. Carvana will be losing a customer over replacing 4 tires that repair shop said was unsafe.
My mission is to leave a review on every web site that I can find everyday to warn customers. All this company had to do was replace 4 tires for about $850 and I would have sailed away happy .
I have factory warranty still and would have been trading this back in to them in about 2 years like I’ve done 3 times. So now they lose a customer over something that should have been replaced with there inspection and I’m still in the 7 day return process.
Repair shop agreed and said all 4 tires were unsafe. Two of them had nails in them. After days and 15 hours on phone they approve two tires. They make repair shop send pictures and denied my claim saying they look ok in picture.
They are putting two mismatch tires on truck now and repair shop explained that that would be unsafe as well. After 3 hours on phone they literally hung up on the repair shop. Just google Carvana and silver rock and read reviews. Decided for your self.
Carvana owns their warranty company silver rock as well. They are on *** of going bankrupt. Wounded why. I could go on and on.
Never in 48 years have I had such a bad experience. Never wrote a review in my life until these two companies screwed me and could care less about safety. Please research for yourself and believe me when I say run.
Run. Run.
Preferred solution: Would have been happy with tires and sailed away. They would never had heard from me again on truck considering it’s under factory warranty. This was my third purchase from carvana.
User's recommendation: Stay away. Run. You will be sorry if you deal with these two companies. I will bash them for ever. All they had to do was make it right and I would have been happy and looked the other way on the little stuff. Truck showed up dirty and missing a key fob which is about $400 .

Verified ReviewerProblems with new car picked up yesterday
Just picked up my Tesla yesterday evening. The low voltage battery needs to be replaced.
None of the accessories work.
The car will not accept a charge. I need to speak to someone immediately.
Preferred solution: Trade the car out. The car was supposedly checked for these things on the multipoint inspection prior to delivery

Verified ReviewerTheir "Inspection" Is Worthless
A car that needed new tires and brakes immediately was sent to me. SilverRock, Carvana's warranty company, would do nothing for 'wear' items.
I returned the car within the 7-day return policy. If they could have met me halfway on brakes and tires, I would have been happy.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Avoid Carvana

I wanted to share my experience with a particular car dealership called Carvana to help all of you avoid any potential frustrations and the expenditure of your precious time. If I were you, I'd stay as far away as possible from this company. They present the entire process as easy, but it has been nothing short of ridiculous. Their car prices are significantly higher than other dealers', yet I decided to give them a chance.
Initially, they requested three months' worth of bank statements, which I promptly provided. However, they then asked for six months' worth, which meant sending in another three months of statements. The real frustration came after I submitted my 2022 tax returns but hadn't yet submitted my 2023 taxes, as I've filed for an extension. Despite clearly demonstrating an income exceeding $50K a month, they abruptly informed me that they couldn't proceed with my sale.
To make matters worse, when I reached out to them for clarification, I encountered extremely rude customer service. I strongly recommend saving your time and energy and considering other dealerships for your car purchase.
User's recommendation: STAY AWAY
The worst communication ever!!!!
Purchased a car with trade in that was paid off with title and paid the rest in cash $30K. I uploaded documents and I thought transaction was complete with delivery in a week.
The dashboard showed task complete and Congratulations. This was my 4th car purchased on Carvana and every experience was great except this one. Absolutely terrible! I completed purchase on a Monday with delivery on the following Monday.
Come Sunday I hadn't received any messages like usual, and I went on the Carvana site and car wasn't on my dashboard. I sat on hold for 3 hours Monday morning trying to figure out what happened considering I hadn't received any messages via text, email or on the site. They also had $30K of my money from the initial purchase and not said 1 word regarding my cancelled purchase or my $30K credit. All they had to do was send a text, email or note on Carvana site, detailing what was missing.
So after 3 hours on hold and a week delayed for what was supposed to be a surprise gift for my son the agents who I spoke to were nice and helped me re-purchase the same car again but a week late. We got everything done and considering I had already uploaded all the documents the first time I thought we were good again. The dashboard and task box showed all items complete so again I assumed everything was good. But again, the same issues started again, but this time with a message that my transaction will be cancelled, but it doesn't say why anywhere on the site or my dashboard.
Another 2 calls to Carvana to figure out this mess again resulted in a registration card for the trade in not showing. The dashboard or task list did not mention anything again causing terrible frustration and also having to pay again for the delivery fee that I had already paid for the first time. I didn't cancel the order and had no idea there was a problem, now I have to pay again? This was terrible.
Then after I purchased the car for the second time and I thought everything was done again, I get a call at 7:00AM on Tuesday morning waking up myself and family from Carvana and when I told them how early it was they hung up. Seriously??? Who is running this show. Now I had to call again and figure out what was going on.
They finally told me a registration card was missing. Wow, how easy was that for them to tell me the issue, and it was uploaded again within the hour and problem solved. All this frustration and missed celebration because of something that could have been solved with a phone call or text saying "missing registration card" Please upload. Your AI Sebastian is a useless tool and gets nothing done and the absolute difficulty on contacting a human at Carvana was ridiculous.
3 hours trying to get a hold of someone. The agents were nice, but this transaction was the absolute worst and It's still not finished yet. I am now waiting on car that will arrive a week late. That was the soonest it could be delivered really?
Its actually located 2 hours away, but you have to wait 1 week for delivery. Terrible!!!

I love the experience of buying a car and not being able to drive it because the key fob is broken. All Carvana can say is, 'We're sorry, we're sorry, we're sorry.
Go deal with warranty claims.' Then I get lied to by advocates.
Talk about lovely customer service! They should have just ordered me a new key to fix their mistake!

Bought a vehicle. My registration has the wrong legal owner listed and instead of them looking into it, they have me spending time to get it figured out.
Secondly, I have a 100-day warranty and found a big leak in my rear hatch.
I went through the agency that they use. Still no answers.
- Customer service and lack thereof
Preferred solution: My vehicle fixed abd my registration updated wih correct info
User's recommendation: Do not buy frm Carvana especially if you are financing. They use Bridgecrest which has several lawsuits against them.
Resolved: Appointment was changed 2 hrs away!!!!!!
Our appointment was today, at "11-2" an hour away from us. They called at 8 a.m.
and moved our appointment to another city 2 1/2 hours away!! We are elderly and my husband is ill, so he didn't communicate that wasn't feasible. He tried to call back and couldn't get through. We are in SD, it was an AZ number.
I tried 2 different phone numbers for customer service and was put on hold for 30 minutes even though I explained the urgency. Out of desperation I tried calling the AZ #, I got through, and when I explained we are elderly and my husband is ill, he was rude and complained , saying, I wish you called me sooner, while I had been on hold with customer service for 20 minutes! Also, when I originally scheduled the appointment, I put in our zip code and no option for a meeting in our area came up. It said the closest location was Egan, MN, 220 miles away!
I called that location and was told THERE WAS NO CLOSER LOCATION ( which was NOT TRUE). I then put in another zip code for the largest city in SD, (Sioux Falls) which is an hour away, and it took that.
I finally got through to customer service and our appointment was rescheduled to 3 days later .
I asked that they call an 1 1/2 hours ahead to let us know when they would be there, since they wouldn't come to Brookings, SD. Don't know what to believe now!!
User's recommendation: Get a phone number , hopefully someone who cares!

Verified Reviewer | Cincinnati, OhioResolved: Taking Money While rejecting Application
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I had to bug them every day by phone email and chat. It was very difficult to get clear consistent answers.
I was going through the application process, I communicated my concerns to advocates about lacking some documents. They took my documents and held them in review for several hours.
After I checked back in, they rejected my documents but continued to process and take my money that very same day.
Now they claim they can hold my money (thousands of dollars) 10- 14 business days. Looks like I wrote Carvana loan.
Check BBB website and local reviews. Carvana clearly tries to clean up its image, don't be fooled they haven't improved since there last scandal.
User's recommendation: Avoid Carvana, make sure you find trust worthy reviews
