Stay away from Carvana
Purchased a vehicle exactly 14 days ago. Three days into the purchase, I had a few issues with the vehicle that needed to be repaired, namely the radio.
The radio changes channels when it wants, the tech screen works when it wants to, and most importantly, there is a code present that says 'radio internal failure.' I was told to contact Silverock Warranty, which is their partner company. I did so and took the vehicle to the shop they asked me to. The shop diagnosed the problem and contacted the warranty company back with their findings; I heard everything via speakerphone. The warranty company did agree to fix everything except the radio; they said that once the battery was replaced, the issue would go away.
Well, this past Monday (11th), I dropped off the vehicle at the vendor and picked it up on Tuesday. Everything was fixed satisfactorily, except the radio. I went back to the vendor today (13th), and again, the code was present and the radio still has a mind of its own. The vendor contacted Silverock again and provided pictures of the code, etc.
They denied the claim now, saying it was 'cosmetic.' I contacted Carvana, and they said they do whatever Silverock says, and it was up to them, and I was going to have to take care of it out of my pocket.
Well, the radio assembly is only available from the dealer, and it's $2000 plus $450 for installation and programming. So basically, they worked together to go past the 7-day return policy, so now I'm screwed.
- Selection of vehicles
- Good inventory
- Convenience
- Dont deliver on their promises
- Dont give a damn once you sign
- Dont stick to there policies and what they say on tv
Preferred solution: Have the radio replaced. Or take the vehicle back!!!!
User's recommendation: Steer Clear of them! They don't stand behind what they sell!!!!!
Incorrect mileage
I entered the correct miles, and it says I'm wrong, and I know I'm not wrong about the miles on my truck. So I would greatly appreciate it if someone would actually call me back and not be putting me on hold or hanging up on me because I really would like to sell my truck as soon as I possibly can!

Verified ReviewerReport one of your drivers who hit our truck I have his license plates
You can not speak to a customer service representative over the phone all you can do is text chat and that is not professional enough during an emergency.
My husband and I were driving on Interstate 95 going towards Richmond, VA, from Petersburg, VA. They were doing construction on Interstate 95, so traffic was made to merge into the left lane.
While we were in the left lane, our friends were behind us in their truck. The driver had plenty of time to merge but never attempted to even try; instead, he waited until he can't get over and hits my husband's mirror with his Carvana truck hard enough to push the mirror in. The driver showed no regard towards us, just a smart mouth.
I reported this incident to someone through a chat, but you literally can't physically talk to someone on the phone! I feel like they are careless when it comes to complaints, especially severe ones like this!
User's recommendation: No because while this took place he had a Grey Tundra Truck on the back either taking it to a potential customer or to one of the dealerships

Verified Reviewer |Not a good communicator at all I’m doing everything they ask but I not through there policy , what policy? Can’t someone talk to me one in one to tell me what else option to do so we can go forward w
I called many to follow up on what else I have to do, because obviously no one seems to help me. I keep uploading anything and everything they have asked, but still stuck, no clue.
Come to think of it, Cash App as banking is not accepted, and why the *** not? That's what I will call discrimination against major banks. I used to have that so-called bank. I don't want to use them for one reason: because I was a previous employee, and they don't treat the employees right.
So why should I use them? Secondly, it is only a $242 a month payment, and they want you from head to toe, plus your blood. Is this how experiences buying a car are now? I have bought many cars in my entire lifetime; this is the first for me.
It's frustrating that nobody is checking up on you. Sad, sad, and very sad.

take the car in immediately and have it inspected by mechanic so if he finds anything major wrong, you can return it within the seven day policy. Mine is back in the shop again for the third time.
customer service has been great. The car I have gotten not so great but the warranty is fixing it.
I just dont think the seven day return policy should be in effect. If you have problems right off the bat they should give you seven days after it comes out of the repair shop

I had car for 4 months battery went took it to a shop and shop said battery is 6 yrs old. $300 plus installment
Terrible
The first car i picked out was delayed by ten days from the original delivery date. It was shipped with engine codes being cleared to try and hide them.
Within the first 12 hours and only driving 7 miles the engine light came back on. I was told my options were to repair it at only one shop 45 mins away and get reimbursed for a rental during that time or exchange. I tried to exchange but the second car was delayed by a week so i went without a vehicle for a week. They refused to help in any way, whether it be paying for a rental or discounting a different vehicle to make it within my budget, or eliminating the shipping fee so that I could try another vehicle.
I was told i would get a call back from upper management and they waited to call me until i decided to cancel everything call it off. Now i am out an extra 5 grand than what i planned on.

Verified Reviewer |Bad transmission
This is my car buying experience with Carvana:
Worst car buying experience ever!!!
1.) I found the wipers were bad: had to replace them myself.
2.) Next the brakes were bad: had to pay for part of the repair myself.
3.) Then the transmission failed. They had the car for a month.
I had to pay for part of the repair. I had to pay for the rental out of my own pocket (as they only pay for 10 days max). Replacement transmission failed within days of the return. Out of 60 days, I only had the car for about 30 days.
When I complained, they responded to me by saying I should have returned it within the 7-day return period.
It took longer than that to discover the issues and find an in-network repair facility.
Now they want me to pay $1,700 for a new transmission after the first replacement failed in less than 3 days.
This has been a terrible experience and no answer in sight as to when I will get the car back.
I purchased the car on May 16, 2025. Out of the less than 90 days of ownership, the car has been in the shop for over 40 days.
Unacceptable customer service!!!
- Worst customer service
- Outrageous polices that do not favor the buyer

My car was deemed totaled because of an accident that someone else had. I have calls waiting for the full process of the payment to go to my lien holder, which is Bridgecrest, but I'm just trying to figure out what I should do.
What should I do to get another vehicle?
I need another car. I have a rental right now that I'm paying out of pocket for.

Verified ReviewerFailure to Refund & Extremely Poor Customer Support
Bought a 2023 Kia K5 Jan 7, 2025
I decided to not go through with the purchase, and they cancelled the order Feb 18, 2025 & sent an email saying my refund was being issued to the payment method originally used, well I had switched banks due to my employer switching, so I switched to BMO Harris, so I wouldn't have a monthly fee since it would be direct deposited. I continuously get emails from Carvana saying the same exact thing as the refund email says at least 1-3x a week, I finally was able to speak to a customer advocate whose name was Tony who escalated the issue to the Treasury Department, but it would take 72 hours for a response so he had issued me a ticket #424994 and was told he was going to schedule me with a call back with me for a follow-up, in which unsurprisingly he never did. Was also told my down payment refund would be issued by a cashier's check to my mailing address on file.

No resolution. One offer from them was for me to pay close to $1,700 for their failure to provide a quality replacement transmission in the first place. Beware of buying from Carvana, unless you like drama.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: If I could give a minus 100, I would. THE WORST FINANCIAL,TRANSACTION I HAVE EVER HAD. I !
This is the worst financial transaction I have ever made with any other vendor and a top dollar one. I canceled my vehicle purchase on the 10th, the same day that I put in the order.
At the end of the day, they took out the money for the vehicle and still, after 15 days, have not refunded me the money for it. There is absolutely no one to talk to that can give you any more information than they have. That seems to think that they can answer your questions and be tolerated for their answer. It's no wonder that Carvana only has one percent of the online car market; they are the worst.
In the meantime, I have no transportation, I am paying for a transfer of the vehicle, and the car never left the lot that it was on. They have about $16,000 or $17,000 of my money now and still no refund.

Not worth my time. You offered today $20,800 for my car.
It's just one excuse after another to keep lowering your offer. I think people should hear about this. Plus, I just bought a 2024 Chevy Malibu from you, and I didn't lower my offer. I paid you full price.
Didn't you make enough money from me already? Wow!
